HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team.

The PTA will implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, monitor patient progress, and document care to support optimal outcomes. Ideal candidates are patient-focused and mission-driven, with a commitment to high-quality physical therapy services and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate (e.g., Associate) from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice (Required).
• Years of Experience: 2+ years.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• Board Certification which meets rigorous standards of maintenance or certification (Preferred).

Responsabilités

• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and document care.
• Communicate patient responses to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate and advocate for patients and families to promote safe mobility and independence.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and participate in professional development.
