Job summary

Astera Health is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team. The role primarily serves outpatients with some inpatient coverage, across two clinics: Henning PT Clinic and the Wadena Clinic.

Schedule is 64 hours per bi-weekly period, Tuesday through Friday, with two days at each clinic. Weekend on-call rotation occurs every 7-8 weeks. Astera Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement.

Qualifications

• Certified PTA from an approved and accredited program.
• Documented continuing education experience in orthopedics, manual therapy, and sports medicine.
• 1+ year general experience, or experience in orthopedics and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Carries out treatments in accordance with physician’s orders and as directed by Physical Therapist’s initial evaluation.
• Documents progress notes for each patient treated.
• Follows established policies, procedures, and safety precautions with use of modalities and equipment to prevent injury.
• Provides patient care in a safe manner during treatments.
