Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a part-time, day-shift Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).

You will work under licensed PT supervision, implement plans of care, and help advance therapy programs through evidence-based practices while contributing to community health initiatives and ongoing professional development within a people-first

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in physical therapy.
Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Kansas.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Must have a valid driver’s license and must provide an original driving record.
Driving record must not reveal any DUIs, speeding tickets, or accidents within the past two years.
One year driving experience.
Previous medical or rehabilitation setting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs delivery of care following physical therapy plans of care and delivers prescribed care to patients in line with APTA standards and Kansas practice act.
Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
Promotes physical therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
Reports to the assigned leader of department.
