Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in physical therapy or equivalent.
• New York State PT license or eligible.
• 3+ years of full-time physical therapist clinical experience.
• Experience in clinical education, supervision, or instruction.
• Knowledge of PT education, clinical education processes, and accreditation standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage student clinical education placements and related processes.
• Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with clinical education sites and clinical instructors.
• Advise and support students regarding clinical education requirements, performance, and professional conduct.
• Monitor student progress during clinical experiences and address clinical education concerns as needed.
• Recruit, support, and communicate with clinical instructors and clinical partners.
• Maintain clinical education records, affiliation agreements, and required documentation.
• Collect and analyze clinical education data and assist with accreditation and assessment activities.
• Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the clinical education curriculum.
• Participate in program meetings, committees, and other activities that support the mission of the department.
