Job summary

Atlanta Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor (Psychology) to teach General Education Psychology courses at the Main campus, south of Downtown Atlanta. The role supports diverse students under the Arts and Sciences Department within Academic and Student Affairs, reporting to the Dean and Department Chair.

The position is part-time (up to 29 hours per week) with responsibilities including teaching, grading, advisement, and participation in related committees; opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least one year of teaching experience; experience in psychology and general education areas.
• Experience with BANNER and LMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques.
• Demonstrates knowledge of current procedures in the Psychology field and adheres to syllabus.
• Advises and counsels students and maintains advisement records.
• Maintains classrooms and labs in accordance with institutional safety guidelines.
