Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate personal care to residents in Northridge. You will follow the plan of care, assist with activities of daily living, and support mobility and transfers as directed by your supervisor.

The role requires a PSW certificate (Ontario/Alberta) or provincial equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to observe and report changes in residents’ condition. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Personal Support Worker program or provincial equivalent certificate with minimum 600 hours theory & practicum.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-focus skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the plan of care as determined by the supervisor.
• Facilitate resident moves and transfers where applicable.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to supervisor.
