Job summary

Right At School in Winnetka, IL, is seeking a Program Manager to lead a team of Educators, coach staff, and ensure safety, licensing compliance, and strong family and school partnerships while delivering engaging after-school programming.

You will manage daily operations, oversee attendance, communicate with families, plan enrichment activities, and address conflicts, with opportunities to grow into regional management. Hours correspond to before/after school shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred).
• Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with both adults and children.
• Comfortable modeling professional standards around students, parents, staff, and community members.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance.
• Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards.
• Oversee daily check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate attendance records.
• Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and your Area Manager, responding promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries during program hours.
• Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations delivered by your team.
• Address and resolve day-to-day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families.
• Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate documentation.

As a Program Manager, you'll lead a team and oversee daily operations — coaching staff, ensuring safety and compliance, building relationships with families and school partners, and facilitating activities with kids as needed — while gaining valuable leadership and operations experience in the education field.

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday - Friday, Before School: 6:45AM-8:30AM / After School: 2:45PM-6PM

What You’ll Do

Illinois State Requirements

• First Aid and hands‑on CPR
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• 18+ years of age
• 12 credits minimum of an 100+ level college courses
• Cleared background check with fingerprinting
