Job summary

Right At School is seeking a Program Manager to lead a team of educators at Metamora Grade School in Illinois. You will coach staff, maintain safety and licensing standards, and manage day-to-day operations to deliver high-quality after-school programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating attendance, communicating with families and school partners, and planning engaging enrichment activities. This role offers leadership growth and a direct impact on children’s learning experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children, including those with special needs.
• Experience managing staff and delivering quality service to families and partners.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace preferred.

• Oversee daily check-in and check-out procedures with accurate attendance records.
• Communicate with families, school partners, and Area Manager during program hours.
• Plan daily enrichment curriculum and activities delivered by your team.
• Address and resolve day-to-day issues among staff, students, or families.
• Monitor safety and enforce protocols.
• Report incidents and maintain documentation.

Position Details

Pay Rate: $20 and up per hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 8:00 am and 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm*

Location: Metamora Grade School

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day‑to‑day guidance
• Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards
• Oversee daily check‑in and check‑out procedures, ensuring accurate \"name to face\" attendance records
• Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and your Area Manager, responding promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries during program hours
• Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations delivered by your team
• Address and resolve day‑to‑day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families
• Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate documentation

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners
• High school diploma or GED completed
• Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs
• Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred)
• Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with both adults and children
• Comfortable modeling professional standards around students, parents, staff, and community members
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn
• At least 18 years of age

Illinois State Requirements

• First Aid and hands‑on CPR
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Proof of MMR
• Food Handlers Card
• 18+ years of age
• 12 credits minimum of an 100+ level college courses
• Cleared background check with fingerprinting
