Job description

KELLEY SCHOOL OF BUSINESS (BL-BUS-IUBLA)

The Institute for Corporate Governance and Ethics (ICGE) is an interdisciplinary research center at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Our mission is to make research on corporate governance and ethics accessible and actionable for scholars, policymakers, business leaders, and students. Our work spans 6 areas: business and behavioral ethics, corporate law, corporate compliance, management, finance, and financial controls.

ICGE is a lean, fast-moving center with broad reach. In the past year, we hosted Jonathan Haidt and Jean Twenge for a campus-wide event, co-hosted a 2-day Corporate Governance and Compliance Roundtable with international law firm Gibson Dunn, and presented a monthly Speaker Series featuring leading scholars from Wharton, the London School of Economics, NYU, Yale, and other institutions. ICGE faculty and affiliates contribute to prominent public conversations, with appearances in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Forbes, and at the World Economic Forum. We are also home to Ethical Systems, a consortium of leading behavioral ethics researchers, and our network includes more than 70 faculty affiliates across 20 plus institutions worldwide. ICGE even has a YouTube channel.

The Program and Communications Coordinator will serve as a key operational partner for ICGE, supporting events, communications, digital content, administration, and relationship-building. This position has a close working relationship with the Director, and meaningful ownership of work that reaches more than 14,000 supporters across 75 countries and engages with timely questions at the intersection of business, governance, and ethics. It may be especially well suited to an experienced professional seeking meaningful part-time work, supplemental employment, or an opportunity to reenter the workforce in a role that draws on a broad range of skills.

Department Specific Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the Director, this position offers substantial ownership, variety, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the center's continued growth and impact.
  • Plans and executes ICGE events, including speaker series, student programs, faculty workshops, and signature compliance conferences, from initial planning through completion.
  • Drafts correspondence for corporate partners, faculty, alumni, and other ICGE stakeholders.
  • Manages LinkedIn and other social media channels, maintaining a consistent and professional institutional voice.
  • Maintains and update the ICGE website; write and publish blog posts, program recaps, and other web content.
  • Designs and co-produces semiannual reports and other publications from initial draft through final layout.
  • Writes and distributes press releases; support faculty media placements; and respond to journalist and partner inquiries.
  • Navigates IU and Kelley administrative systems, including vendor payments, procurement, and budget tracking.
  • Provides administrative and operational support that enables the Director to focus on research, external engagement, and the center's strategic growth.

  • Excellent writing skills across formats, including press releases, newsletters, web copy, and executive correspondence.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
