Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian 12 South is recruiting experienced RNs for a part-time, limited position on a 12-hour shift schedule. Expect day and night shifts with two weekend shifts every six weeks, within a 30-bed general medicine unit and a strong teaching environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience required.
• An ADN, BSN, or MSN is required.
• Demonstrate ability to care for patients of all ages and to work in a changing environment.
• Establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with patients, families and staff.
• Think critically to analyze problems and deliver quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Apply adult learning principles to educate patients and families.
• Teach and guide patients through care transitions with detailed instruction.
• Support colleagues’ development and contribute to an open learning environment.
• Participate in shared governance and quality improvement.
