Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to help create a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will connect with customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are full, clean, and visually appealing.

You will work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, supporting operations with accuracy and a strong safety mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming store experience across Fresh departments.
• Assist customers with product knowledge and locating items.
• Maintain fresh, attractive product displays and rotate stock.
• Stock, merchandise, and ensure displays meet company standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Collaborate with Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery teams.
• Support additional tasks to keep store operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
