Job Description

This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Responsibilities include processing, packaging, and stocking produce products according to standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. Perform duties of floral clerk when assigned.

Skills and Requirements

• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training, and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and correspondence in English; effective in small group presentations.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction with money and weights.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions; problem-solving involving concrete variables.
• Certificates and Licenses: Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift/move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6-72 inches. Specific vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a cool environment (55-60°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is moderate to loud.
