Job summary

HKB Cosmetic Surgery in Mount Pleasant, SC, is seeking a PRN Surgical Technician to join our upscale plastic surgery center. You will handle instruments, supplies, assist in circulating and equipment during procedures, and monitor OR conditions to support the surgical team.

Shifts vary, typically Monday through Friday 6:30am–6:00pm. We seek candidates with at least 2 years of Surgical Tech experience; plastics/private office experience is a plus; Surgical Technologist Certification preferred;

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Surgical Tech experience.
• Plastics in private office setting a plus.
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
• Knowledge in sterilization and processing.
• Confident and skilled.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure.
• Set up sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.
• Anticipates the needs of the Surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to Surgeon during procedure.
• Assists with draping the patient and establishing the sterile field.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists other members of the team with terminal cleaning of room.
• Assists in prepping the OR for the next patient.
• Anticipates additional supplies needed during the procedure.
