Job summary

You will implement, monitor, and adjust care plans, document patient progress, administer medications, and coordinate discharge needs while educating patients and families. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and 2 years of related experience for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.
• 2 years of recent related nursing experience required for external applicants; internal with <2 years may be considered with approval.
• Current state RN license; BLS certification; ACLS certification required upon or within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
• Check and stock crash carts.
• Perform chart audits.
