The Goddard School of Chicago (South Loop) in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time caregiver/assistant to support the education program with a learning-through-play approach. You will supervise children, assist teachers, and help with resources and daily routines in a busy early childhood setting.

The role requires interacting with children at their level, maintaining safety, and performing cleaning duties. Shift options include 2 PM–6 PM or 3 PM–6 PM, Monday–Friday, with competitive hourly pay

Qualifikationen

• Understand and support the education program using a learning-through-play philosophy.
• Interact closely with children at their level under sight and sound supervision.
• Communicate effectively with school personnel, children and parents.
• Handle crisis situations, including evacuations.
• Safely walk children between rooms and to outdoor areas.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and learning materials regularly.

• Cleaning and sanitizing.

• Assist in providing resources for teachers.
• Assist food staff with distribution.
• Complete opening and closing checklists.
• Ensure classroom equipment is in good repair.
• Follow Goddard School emergency procedures.
• Promote healthy eating at lunch and snack times.
• Keep children within state ratio requirements.
• Perform minor cleaning (spills) promptly.
• Perform major cleaning when children are not present.
• Adhere to the GSI Behavior Policy.
• Model empathy and respect for others and the environment.
• Respect cultural and ethnic diversity.
• Promote learning-through-play objectives.
