Job summary

Ivybrook Academy in Franklin, TN is seeking a passionate and nurturing Part Time Preschool Teacher to join our team in a warm, creative, and supportive environment.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons for preschoolers, foster a safe classroom, support early development, and communicate with families. Experience in early childhood education is valued, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Experience with preschool or early childhood age groups preferred.
• Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development principles.
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a love for working with young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and team members.
• Ability to pass a background check as required by state childcare regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities for preschool-aged children.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support early childhood development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and daily activities.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support curriculum goals and school culture.
• Observe, document, and assess student development and learning milestones
