Job summary

Crievewood United Methodist Child Care is seeking an enthusiastic early childhood educator to provide nurturing, age-appropriate learning experiences for preschoolers and to support a warm, safe classroom. This position offers about 25 hours per week with potential for more during school breaks and summer.

Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a one-hour break from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification required
• Able to pass fingerprint background check
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Flexible to kneel, stoop and stand for extended periods to engage children

Responsibilities

• Navigate and implement daily learning activities tailored to each child's developmental needs and interests.
• Support the lead teacher in maintaining daily routines and a smooth-running learning environment.
• Adhere to Tennessee Department of Human Resources regulations and guidelines.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with parents at pick-up times.
