Job summary

Five Star Kids Program at the Armed Services YMCA Hampton Roads seeks a CYP Assistant to support Pre-K staff during lunch breaks and assist at the front desk. The role runs Monday–Friday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, with additional hours possible.

The ASYMCA emphasizes a safe, respectful learning environment and compliance with licensing requirements. Applicants must be 18+, with a high school diploma; further education/experience options are preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18+ with a HS diploma; preferred education/experience options listed.
• Ability to assist Pre-K staff during lunch breaks and supervise students.
• Background checks and compliance with licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pre-K teachers during lunch breaks and supervise students in lunch, playground, and naptime.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and perform front desk duties.
• Maintain records, assist with daily activities, and support classroom learning.
