Job summary

Swarthmore Presbyterian Nursery Day School (SPNDS) is seeking a part-time teacher assistant for our NAEYC Accredited preschool program. The position runs five mornings from 8:00 to 12:30, working with a head teacher to ensure safety, care, and a joyful learning environment for all children.

A CDA certificate or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Additional degrees and/or prior experience with children are a plus.

Qualifications

• CDA certificate or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience with children is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist head teacher to create a warm, safe learning environment for children.
• Support general education, well-being, safety, and nurturing of children.
• Help ensure licensing and accreditation requirements are met.
