Job summary

Incarnation Catholic Church Preschool is seeking a joyful, nurturing Teaching Assistant for our Four-Year-Old Preschool class. This part-time role supports the Lead Teacher and helps implement developmentally appropriate activities in a Catholic learning environment.

The ideal candidate embraces early childhood education, collaborates with a teaching team, and fosters spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preschool experience preferred.
• ECE coursework or experience is a plus.
• Demonstrates patience, flexibility, creativity, and a love for young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must complete background screening and Safe Environment training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in a safe, welcoming classroom environment.
• Support daily lesson plans and activities fostering kindergarten readiness.
• Model Catholic values to support spiritual growth.
• Supervise children during activities, outdoor play, lunch, rest, and transitions.
• Encourage positive social interaction and problem-solving among students.
• Assist with small-group and individualized instruction as directed.
