Job summary

Destiny Christian Academy is seeking a Teacher's Assistant for the Early Education Center program. The role supports 2-3 year olds, upholds safety and health standards, and assists the supervising teacher in daily activities.

Responsibilities include safeguarding children, managing behavior, and completing routine paperwork. The position may require lifting, mobility, and occasional flexible scheduling in a faith-based environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year paid or volunteer experience working with preschool-age children.
• Ability to develop cooperative working relationships with coworkers and relate well to all preschool-age children.
• Ability to support in the infant/toddler program if needed.
• Must be able to bend or squat to attend to children’s needs and lift to assist children, up to 45 lb.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe and accounted for.
• Maintain behavior standards.
• Complete routine paperwork.
• Provide first aid and complete accident/injury reports as necessary.
• Greet and monitor adults as they pick up children.
• Assist in daily cleanup and closing of the program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher.
