Job summary

Sheltering Arms is seeking a Teacher Aide to assist with a group of children from infant to Pre-K. The role supports a teaching team, promotes safety, and helps implement planned activities in a dynamic early childhood environment.

Responsibilities include supervising children, encouraging self-care, and maintaining positive relationships with families while upholding center policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• CDA enrollment within 12 months of hire or related credential preferred.
• Ability to work with infants to Pre-K and follow lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children at all times.
• Promote healthy eating by eating with children and supervising routines.
• Assist in implementing planned activities and classroom transitions.
• Interact with children during activities and support social-emotional development.
• Greet families, build positive relationships, and communicate observations.
• Follow center rules, attend meetings, and support Lead Teacher and Lead Staff.
