Job summary

The Springfield Park District is seeking a Preschool teacher aide for a part-time role in Springfield, IL. The position runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am until 12:00pm, with an hourly rate of $16.00.

You will support an early childhood teacher and help with classroom setup and student activities, contributing to each child’s development. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and shows leadership, reliability, and the ability to work well in groups.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years of age or older.
• Must possess a High School diploma.
• Experience with early childhood teaching preferred.
• Able to lead, be trustworthy, and work independently.
• Strong teamwork and willingness to work in groups.
• Good English reading and writing skills.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of an early childhood teacher.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of the preschool room.
• Contribute to children's cognitive, emotional, social and physical development.
• Teach on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 12:00pm.
