Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assesses and implements total nursing care for pre-operative patients.
• Records symptoms and changes in patient conditions.
• Administers medications per physician orders.
• Care and discharge of pre-operative patients per facility policies.
• Reviews pre-operative charts for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures surgical consent aligns with physician orders and OR schedule.
• Obtains and labels patient belongings; assists with OR attire.
• Administers pre-operative sedation as required.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality; supports families.
