University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Medicine – Kearney Regional Campus is seeking a Part-Time Preclinical Teaching Faculty member to support Phase 1 education for medical students in Greater Nebraska. The role focuses on early clinical reasoning and professional skill development through small-group, active-learning experiences.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent with eligibility for faculty appointment.
• Experience in clinical practice and interest in undergraduate medical education.
• Willingness to learn and apply small-group facilitation and active-learning methods.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small-group learning sessions in Phase 1 curricular components (PBL, communication, physical diagnosis, EBM).
• Commit approximately one half-day per week for teaching activities during the academic year.
• Participate in preparatory sessions and faculty development to align with curricular goals.
• Engage in assessment and feedback related to teaching responsibilities.
• Serve on College of Medicine committees as needed given part-time appointment.
