Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Gulf Breeze, FL seeks a Registered Nurse for Pre-Post care in the Gulf Breeze Hospital. This part-time day-shift role provides skilled nursing care and education to surgical patients and supports the multidisciplinary team.

The RN will assess, develop and implement plans of care, document accurately, maintain licensure, and participate in weather/disaster coverage as needed. Strong teamwork and clinical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in Florida or eligible compact state upon hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Develops, discusses and communicates a plan of care with patient/family.
• Implements medical plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures as needed.
• Reassesses problems, care provided and patient responses to ensure quality care.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for team use.
• Maintains current knowledge, certification and licensure.
• Performs duties according to department scope to address patient needs.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for the department.
• Assists with other duties to support department operations.
• May be required to stay on campus before, during, and after severe weather or disasters.
