Job summary

Penn State Berks Practical Nursing Program invites applications for Part‑time Adjunct Program Faculty for evening and weekend classes and clinical experiences.

Qualified candidates will hold an active PA Nursing license and a BSN; MSN is preferred. Prior acute care and/or community health experience is desirable, and prior nurse‑educator roles are encouraged but not required.

Qualifications

• Active PA Nursing license.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred; BSN required.
• Experience in Acute Care Medical-Surgical, Long‑term care, or Community Health Nursing.
• Experience as a nurse educator is recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evening and weekend instruction for classes.
• Coordinate clinical experiences for nursing students.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and program standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Berks Practical Nursing Program invites applications for Part-Time Adjunct Program Faculty for evening/weekend classes & clinical experiences.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Nursing Instructor candidates should have an active Pennsylvania Nursing license.
• Successful applicants should have a Masters Degree in Nursing, preferable, a BSN is required.
• Applicants should have experience in Acute Care Medical Surgical, Long-term care, or Community Health Nursing.
• Nurse educator experience is recommended but not required.

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
