• Ability to work in dusty environments and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure chickens have the proper amount of water, feed, temperature control, and a clean house.
• Maintain daily records on water, feed, mortality, ventilation, and maintenance.
• Work closely with coworkers, leads, supervisors, and maintenance.
• Move birds in and out of houses and keep population accurately.
• Keep all feed chains and egg belts in working order.
• Replace lights and maintain electrical components as needed.
• Keep floor litter dry and within 1 inch.
• Turn houses over when a flock is leaving and coming in.
• Keep stairs and aisles clear of trip hazards.
• Inspect and protect fans, motors, and screens.
• Perform daily mortality runs in your house and bird runs on weekends.
• Report problems to lead or supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to all safety policies and Animal Humane policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
