Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Lifeguard at Hendricks Regional Health Center YMCA in Avon, IN. This part-time position focuses on maintaining a safe pool area and responding to emergencies in accordance with YMCA and American Heart Association guidelines.

Responsibilities include opening the pool, supervising participants, and supporting program activities with flexible scheduling. Must hold current lifeguard certifications (YMCA/Red Cross/Ellis) and CPR/First Aid:

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess and maintain current lifeguard certifications including First Aid and CPR.
• Must be able to pass basic lifeguard skills test including swimming 500 yards.
• Must relate to and communicate with people of all ages, cultures, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for all pool participants and respond to emergencies per YMCA/Red Cross guidelines.
• Open the pool with supervision and support aquatics programming.
