Illinois Welding School is seeking a part-time Welding Instructor to share practical expertise with our apprentices and adult learners. The role involves teaching SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW on plate and pipe, in a hands-on shop setting, and maintaining safety and organization.

Candidates should have real weld experience, the ability to read blueprints and welding symbols, and strong communication and instructional skills. Testing may be required to verify proficiency before hiring.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding education or training is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow welding blueprints and symbols.
• Strong communication and instructional abilities to guide students.

Responsibilities

• Providing quality instruction for the 18 to 45-year-old student population.
• Teaching the full range of classes in SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW on plate and pipe in all positions.
• Maintaining a clean, well‑organized welding shop.
• Having the ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, welding symbols, and pipefitting materials.
