Job summary

Bobby Jones Links' Hope Valley Country Club in Durham, NC is hiring a Pickleball Instructor. You will provide high‑quality pickleball instruction, teach individual and group lessons, and organize clinics and events to boost member and guest participation.

Responsibilities include junior programs, tournaments, and social events, plus coordinating court setup and maintenance while promoting safety, sportsmanship, and a welcoming club atmosphere.

Qualifications

• USPTA Elite or PTR Professional certification required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills and familiarity with club software/systems.
• Ability to restring, regrip, and repair racquets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group pickleball lessons for players of all ages and skill levels, focusing on stroke development, technique, footwork, strategy, and match play.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans and training programs tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
• Provide feedback and guidance during lessons, emphasizing technique, sportsmanship, and fitness, and encouraging progress.
• Organize and lead clinics, camps, and workshops for adults and juniors, covering singles/doubles tactics, specialty shots, and mental skills.
• Assist with junior development programs, including tournaments, leagues, and interclub matches, and mentor junior players.
• Coordinate and oversee events and socials to promote camaraderie and community engagement among members.
• Assist with court maintenance and facility upkeep including nets, court surfaces, water, trash, and safety.
• Assist with pro shop equipment and apparel sales and racquet customization services, offering recommendations.
• Promote participation and engagement through face-to-face outreach and club communications.
• Collaborate with professionals to deliver a top-notch member experience on and off the courts.
