Fastenal Company is hiring for a Part-time Picking position at our Magna, UT distribution center. The role involves picking, packing, labeling with routing numbers, and moving products to the next department. Onsite work with potential flexible scheduling after onboarding.

The shift is 1:00pm-7:00pm, up to 28 hours per week, with entry-level responsibilities and opportunities to learn forklift operation. We emphasize safety, environment, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Works independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Demonstrates core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs, up to 100lbs.

• Picking orders and packing product efficiently and accurately
• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
