Hawthorne Health is seeking a Principal Investigator (MD) for a 1099 contract to lead the investigation at our McAllen, TX site. Role requires on-site presence ~1–4 times monthly with 3–5 hours of remote clinical oversight weekly.

Candidate must have at least 3 sponsor-initiated trials, an active medical license, and MD degree. Strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication are essential for compliant trial conduct.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Principal Investigator on at least 3 sponsor initiated clinical trials.
• MD degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted medical license.
• Board certification in a relevant specialty preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Strong English communication, both verbal and written.
• Organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple complex studies and prioritize tasks.

Aufgaben

• Accurately document findings and contribute to clinical trials, registries, or research protocols.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of clinical trials at the site, ensuring adherence to protocol and regulatory standards.
• Lead and supervise the clinical research team and delegate duties as needed.
• Conduct remote reviews of patient assessments to ensure proper enrollment.
• Review and interpret laboratory results, ECGs, and diagnostics.
• Make critical medical decisions regarding participant care and protocol deviations.
• Ensure complete and timely data collection and documentation.
• Communicate with sponsors, CROs, IRBs, and regulators.
• Manage investigational product accountability and IP team collaboration.
• Participate in site initiation, monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.
• Maintain ongoing medical education and stay current with research advances.
