Job summary

Tarleton State University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Chemistry, Geoscience, and Physics at the Fort Worth campus. This is a part-time faculty role designed to support growing student enrollment for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, with teaching responsibilities up to six semester credit hours and available office hours.

The successful candidate will hold a master's degree in Physics (or closely related field) with a minimum of 18 graduate hours

Qualifications

• Earned master's degree in Physics or closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or lab offerings to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments such as exams and papers.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Engage students through active learning, foster critical thinking, and encourage collaboration.
• Provide academic support via office hours and mentoring; adhere to academic policies.
