Job summary

Tarleton State University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. This part-time role supports the 2025-2026 Academic Year at the Stephenville campus, teaching up to six semester credit hours in-person and providing office hours and student guidance.

The position also serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). Successful candidates will contribute to a vibrant academic community focused on teaching

Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Earned masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, AI and Machine Learning or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and labs to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments.
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback to inform teaching practices.
Engage students through active learning, discussions, and hands-on learning.
Provide academic support through office hours and mentoring.
