Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in physics or closely related field required.
  • At least 18 graduate-level credit hours within Physics.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning.
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with colleagues and community, with cultural competence and EI.
  • Commitment to the college’s core values of respect, inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Teach classes in the physics area.
  • Participate in annual evaluations of students and chairs/coordinators.
  • Adhere to department curriculum, grading standards, attendance policies, textbook choices, and assessments.
  • Attend classes regularly and communicate with staff and chair in a timely manner.
  • Comply with FERPA, ADA and other regulatory obligations and report discrepancies.
  • Support the college mission and values in all activities.
  • Meet other contractual obligations as outlined in the adjunct faculty contract.
