Job summary

Joliet Junior College seeks an Adjunct Instructor for Process Control and Instrumentation in the Technical Department. This part-time (one semester at a time) position reports to the Department Chair and Instructional Coordinator and may require teaching at other campus sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the field and/or a combination of education, training and tested experience.
• Three (3) years of work experience with industrial automated systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning.
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships with college and community members.

Responsibilities

• Course load of no more than 12 contact hours in the instructional area.
• Participate in annual student and chair/coordinator evaluations.
• Comply with curriculum, grading, attendance, textbook choices and assessments.
• Attend classes regularly and communicate with staff and chair.
• Comply with FERPA, ADA and regulatory obligations.
• Support the college's mission, goals and values.
• Meet other obligations as outlined in the adjunct contract.
