Job summary

Northeastern University’s Department of Physical Therapy, Movement, and Rehabilitation Sciences invites applications for part-time instructors at the New York City campus. Courses include PT 1880: Introduction to Sport Medicine with potential to teach additional courses.

Applicants should hold a graduate degree in kinesiology; DPT or related certification is preferred. Prior teaching or clinical instructor experience in diverse higher education settings is valued.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree in a kinesiology-related field is required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or APTA Clinical Specialist Certification or Board Certification Athletic Trainer (ATC) is preferred.
• Teaching experience in undergraduate or diverse higher education settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer lectures, recitation, and/or labs for PT 1880: Introduction to Sport Medicine.
• Prepare lectures, course materials, examinations, and evaluate student performance.
• Maintain office hours (2–3 hours weekly) for group and individual tutoring.
• Report to the PTMRS Department Chair.
