Job summary

PACS in Santa Rosa Post Acute is seeking a part-time Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care.

Starting rates are $50 - $60/hour. Responsibilities include treatment under the PT, documentation, safety, care conferences, education for residents and families, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policies.
• Proficiency with documentation and data input in PTA software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist with resident care and activities.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the care team and participate in care conferences as needed.
• Educate residents and caregivers on goals, home programs, and safety techniques.
• Assist with ordering necessary durable medical equipment for resident independence.
