Job summary

Sentara Therapy Center Granby in Norfolk, VA is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant for day shift. The TA will administer PT treatments under supervision, assist in plan development, document progress, and educate clients and caregivers.

May supervise certain team members and take on routine duties within therapy services. Requirements include an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, at least 2 years PTA experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• At least 2 years PTA experience required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• Administer PT treatments under supervision of a PT and document progress.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatments under supervision of a physical therapist.
• Assist in development of treatment plans and carry out routine functions.
• Document progress of treatment within established plans.
• Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
