Sentara Therapy Center Great Bridge in Chesapeake, VA is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant for day shift. You will administer PT treatments under a supervising physical therapist, assist in treatment planning, and document progress within the plan of care.

You will provide education to patients and families and may supervise other care team members. Requires an Associate Degree in PTA and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required for PTA practice.
• BLS certification (AHA) required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Assist in development of treatment plans and carry out routine PT duties.
• Document progress of treatment within established plans.
• Provide age-appropriate education to clients and caregivers.
