Job summary

MercyOne Genesis in Davenport, IA is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support patient care across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care and home health settings.

You will operate under a licensed therapist, complete timely documentation, and help supervise clinical interns. Requirements include a two-year college program or equivalent, Iowa PTA license (or ability to obtain within 1 year) and Basic Life Support within 6 months; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients within Genesis Health System in inpatient, outpatient, long-term, home healthcare and/or outreach settings.
• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines.
• Be responsible for reassessment of patients under supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Supervise clinical interns in an effective and professional manner with guidance of the supervising physical therapist.
