Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to ensure our clients receive the highest quality home health care! We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic therapy team and provide exceptional care on an as-needed basis.
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries. This role is ideal for someone seeking flexible hours in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist in implementing individualized care plans and therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and functional activities.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a PTA in Iowa.
- Current CPR certification.
- Prior experience in Home Health, outpatient, acute, or long-term care settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule:
- PRN (as needed), with flexibility to cover weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays.
