Job summary

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking a Phlebotomy Technology Adjunct Instructor to deliver Phlebotomy courses at the DeKalb and Newton campuses. The position is part-time with responsibilities for in-person and online classes and potential travel to satellite locations.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current Phlebotomy Technician certification, and CLIA lab experience within the last five years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Phlebotomy Technician certification from a recognized body.
• Two years paid full-time CLIA regulated clinical lab experience in last 5 years.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in evaluating personnel performance and skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in Phlebotomy Technology courses under supervision.
• Demonstrate appropriate teaching techniques and evaluate student progress.
• Maintain grade books and course records according to syllabus and policy.
• Teach classes and labs in person and online; may travel to satellite locations within service area.
