Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• On-the-job training provided; prior lab experience preferred but not required.
• Strong patient service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood samples.
• Verify patient information and label specimens correctly.
• Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper storage/transport.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after blood collection.
• Coordinate specimen collection with healthcare staff.
• Maintain records and protect patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure test integrity.
