Job summary

Sentara Health in Suffolk, VA is hiring a part-time Phlebotomist-CLA for dayshift (8am–1pm), 20 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. You will perform patient phlebotomy, label and process specimens, handle registration and test data entry, and monitor supply levels.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, BLS certification within 90 days, and 1 year of phlebotomy experience or completion of a phlebotomy program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Phlebotomy experience of 1 year.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program or Course in lieu of 1 year experience in Phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient phlebotomy while maintaining high quality customer service.
• Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing.
• Responsible for registration and test data entry.
• Monitors supply levels.
