Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is hiring an experienced Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Assistant for part-time day shifts (1p-5p, M-F) and alternating weekends (10a-5p). You will perform patient phlebotomy, collect and label specimens, handle registration and data entry, and monitor supply levels.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED; phlebotomy coursework and certification are preferred, with BLS due within 90 days. Prior phlebotomy experience (1 year) is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required).
• Phlebotomy course (preferred).
• Phlebotomy certification (Preferred).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Collect, label, and process patient specimens for testing.
• Responsible for registration and test data entry.
• Monitor supply levels.
