Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in Laredo, TX. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–12:00pm. The role includes blood collection, specimen preparation, data entry, and occasional travel to other sites within the network.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma. Preferred candidates have 1+ year phlebotomy experience, color vision clearance, and LabCorp experience. Benefits and incentive bonuses apply.

LabCorp is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist to join our team in Laredo, TX (78046)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm (additional hours / days may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years’ phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years’ experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will work in our clients' office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
