Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist to join our team in Harlingen, TX. The role includes providing accurate blood collection and exceptional customer service in a client office setting, with a schedule Monday through Friday 8:00am–12:00pm.

You will collect specimens, perform data entry, assist with billing when needed, and travel to additional sites as required. The position offers a quarterly incentive bonus and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years phlebotomy experience in clinical/hospital setting preferred.
• Current or prior LabCorp experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training may substitute for work experience.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Fast-paced/high-volume environment experience beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Perform data entry of patient information accurately.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.

• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm (additional hours / days may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will work in our clients' office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
