Job summary

SUNY Niagara seeks a Part-time Philosophy Instructor to teach introductory Philosophy courses in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Division. Courses are typically three lecture hours per week and may be face-to-face, blended, hyflex, or online, with campus presence in Sanborn, NY or Niagara Falls, NY when required.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree or ABD in Philosophy or related field and excellent written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or ABD in Philosophy or related field.
• Excellent written communication skills as demonstrated by application materials.
• Prior college-level teaching experience and experience with classroom technologies.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the agreed delivery format.
• Hold office hours (in person or virtual as appropriate).
• Report assessment of student learning outcomes at the conclusion of the term.
• Report grades at the conclusion of the term.
